This wiki will showcase seven pictures that I took that represent the principles/elements that I was assigned. The three principles/elements I was assigned were: line, proximity, and intensity. Each picture will showcase one, two, or three of the principles/elements, and a brief notation will be provided to describe why I found that particular picture represented one, two, or three of the principles/elements. I hope the viewer will gain a better understanding of my three principles/elements by viewing the pictures through my eyes.
My picture examples of the principles/elements
1. Line:
2. Intensity:
3. Proximity: According to Robin's Principle of Proximity states that you group related items together, move them physically close to each other so the related items are seen as one cohesive group rather than a bunch of unrelated bits. Williams states that the concept of proximity is that physical closeness implies a relationship. I find that my picture shows proximity in that all of these things are moved close together to show a relationship on top of my book shelf. The relationship is things to do with our wedding. I have a picture of me and my husband a the focal point, the two sterling silver drinking glasses that we drank out of, and candles to give off illumination. The viewer is able to view all of the items at once because of the relationship I have created by putting these five items together.
